The crowd rose to their feet as Stefan Horowitz kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Fredrik Winkler. That made the score 1-5 in the 91 minute of play. Fredrik Winkler stood somewhat misplaced when Vincent Gessler came free in front of goal and shot 1-6 to the left of him in the 95 minute. In the 97th minute, Vincent Gessler ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fredrik Winkler was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-7. The Mondorf Forest supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Mondorf Forest would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
