In the 3rdth minute of the game Mark Klingelmann who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but LuxTor's Eddy Diederich was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 3rd minute, Van Der Ley FC's Peter Guillou ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Eddy Diederich. Eddy Diederich yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. In the 9th minute, Van Der Ley FC's Peter Guillou dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. Siegfried Brötzmann sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 14 minutes into the match, LuxTor's Lutz Knubel sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Victor Schleck narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With an all-out effort, Van Der Ley FC's Eddy Diederich threw himself towards the right post 15 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Mark Klingelmann, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Peter Guillou sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Peter Guillou received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Eddy Diederich came out and tried to block the shot, but Peter Guillou slotted it home off the left post making it 3-0 in the 20th minute. Eddy Diederich took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Peter Guillou, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, LuxTor's Henry Walch got a free kick in the 24th minute. After 25 minutes of play, Van Der Ley FC's Peter Guillou made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Eddy Diederich was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 28 played minutes LuxTor got a freekick which was hit by Hugo Hönig. Eddy Diederich made an important save on a dangerous shot by Siegfried Brötzmann in the 29th minute. Victor Schleck took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lutz Knubel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Van Der Ley FC's Mark Klingelmann in the 39th minute got a chance for a shot 39th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye LuxTor's goalie prevented a goal. Eddy Diederich took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mark Klingelmann, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Siegfried Brötzmann took the ball and in the 46 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Eddy Diederich. Eddy Diederich dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Lutz Knubel was the one to do the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, LuxTor's goal looked a bit too open when Mark Klingelmann came free, but Eddy Diederich reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eddy Diederich came out of the goal in the 55th minute to try and stop a shot by Van Der Ley FC's Peter Guillou. But to his dismay, Peter Guillou quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-0. Eddy Diederich made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dagobert von Hompesch zu Bolheim in the 57th minute of play. In the 58th minute, Mark Klingelmann hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eddy Diederich showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Siegfried Brötzmann in the 64th minute of the match. Eddy Diederich made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mark Klingelmann in the 66th minute of play. 70 minutes into the match, LuxTor's goal looked a bit too open when Siegfried Brötzmann came free, but Eddy Diederich reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Adrian Nassau was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 72nd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. After 74 minutes of play, Van Der Ley FC's Peter Guillou made it 8-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Eddy Diederich was left in no man's land by his defense there! Eddy Diederich showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Peter Guillou, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mark Klingelmann in the 77th minute of play forced LuxTor's goalkeeper Eddy Diederich to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eddy Diederich showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Peter Guillou, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Peter Guillou in the 80th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eddy Diederich saved LuxTor from getting behind. LuxTor's Eddy Diederich played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Peter Guillou in the 81st minute of play. Lutz Knubel hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the LuxTor defense, Peter Guillou kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Eddy Diederich. The LuxTor fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Eddy Diederich should have stopped the shot. LuxTor's Eddy Diederich played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Siegfried Brötzmann in the 87th minute of play. Harold Schneider was extremely unlucky when he, in the 91st minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Van Der Ley FC's Victor Schleck played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lutz Knubel in the 92nd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Mark Klingelmann managed to get in a good position for a shot. Van Der Ley FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Mark Klingelmann was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eddy Diederich breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Van Der Ley FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
