In the 12th minute Rosendo Moreno shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benne Benneborg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. TEAM Hawkeye were awarded a corner in the 14th minute after Northland Vikings's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Håkan Dahlberg took the corner. Jorge Azenha tried in the 14th minute to hit away a contribution but miss-kicked the ball which ended up in his own goal and left an unhappy Benne Benneborg a with quite unnecessary self made goal. Result 1-0. After 18 played minutes Northland Vikings got a freekick which was hit by Bebur Topnikov. With a little luck, Northland Vikings's Benne Benneborg got control of the ball when Herbert Lipinski tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 24 played minutes TEAM Hawkeye got a freekick which was hit by Mats Söder. After 25 played minutes, Northland Vikings's Henry Eklund shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Knut Bergström came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Northland Vikings reached it. 37 minutes into the match, TEAM Hawkeye's goal looked a bit too open when Ian Stoffels came free, but Knut Bergström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 39th minute, Herbert Lipinski ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Benne Benneborg was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. The supporters of Northland Vikings booed when TEAM Hawkeye was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Thalis Kolomitrousis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ian Stoffels struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Knut Bergström didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Northland Vikings. TEAM Hawkeye made a substitution. Angel Recemill replaced Håkan Dahlberg. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Benne Benneborg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Patrik Lagerberg in the 54th minute of play. 57 minutes into the match, Northland Vikings's goal looked a bit too open when Angel Recemill came free, but Benne Benneborg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mats Söder received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Benne Benneborg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Benne Benneborg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Patrik Lagerberg in the 68th minute of the match. Northland Vikings's Gao Peng Ran was substituted for Ian Stoffels. Rudolf Mattsson charged in rather forcefully in the 72nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rudolf Mattsson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 72nd minute, Rudolf Mattsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Knut Bergström made a fantastic save in the 73rd minute, when Gao Peng Ran sent off a good shot on target. Benne Benneborg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Angel Recemill, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 78th minute TEAM Hawkeye were awarded a corner. Mats Söder went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on TEAM Hawkeye's corner Mats Söder fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Benne Benneborg quite easily take care of the ball. Knut Bergström came out of the goal in the 85th minute to try and stop a shot by Northland Vikings's Gao Peng Ran. But to his dismay, Gao Peng Ran quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Northland Vikings's Benne Benneborg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Patrik Lagerberg in the 87th minute of play. 88 minutes into the match, Northland Vikings's goal looked a bit too open when Leo Ekström came free, but Benne Benneborg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The TEAM Hawkeye fans cheered their team off the field, for while Northland Vikings had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
