Maron Brynjólfsson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Maron Brynjólfsson made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Sírnir Bergþórsson sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of FC Barcelona booed when Víkingur Æskulýðsskólinn was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stefnir Hjartarsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 45th minute Fábio Coelho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vignir Sveinsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

FC Barcelona's Kristvin Logason was substituted for Vigur Arnleifsson. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Kristvin Logason was the one to do the kick off. Víkingur Æskulýðsskólinn's Maron Brynjólfsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kristvin Logason in the 59th minute of play. Cayetano Atarratze in the 61stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Vignir Sveinsson, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kristvin Logason in the 64th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Maron Brynjólfsson saved Víkingur Æskulýðsskólinn from getting behind. Sírnir Bergþórsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maron Brynjólfsson having to interfere. Maron Brynjólfsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kristvin Logason, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. Kristvin Logason sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 92 minutes, Kristvin Logason made it 3-1 with a short kick to the right side. Víkingur Æskulýðsskólinn's Maron Brynjólfsson tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Kristvin Logason might have been able to make a better finish in the 97th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Maron Brynjólfsson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Kristvin Logason ran back to his position shaking his head. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. FC Barcelona fully deserved thier win.
