Sporting Clube Patrício's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jimmy Ekström was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Vicente Maia made a kick off. Ademar Azevedo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jimmy Ekström in the 58th minute of the match. Tiburcio Liher didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Vicente Maia went, in the 61st minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. Altamora FC's Manuel Azenha was substituted for Teófilo Estrela. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 69th minute of the game. One of Sporting Clube Patrício:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Altamora FC:s goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Magno Dias in the 74th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tiburcio Liher prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Sporting Clube Patrício's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Manuel Lages in the 75th minute. The corner ended in Magno Dias almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Altamora FC's Tiburcio Liher did a great save. Tiburcio Liher made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-2. Tiburcio Liher made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Magno Dias in the 87th minute of play. Altamora FC's Octávio Portugal was substituted for Jimmy Ekström. Altamora FC's Higino lago quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Alişan Bağışhan, made in the 91st minute of the game. It seemed to be an obvious goal in the 96th minute, but Ademar Azevedo got his fingers on the ball or the save, leaving Sporting Clube Patrício hanging dry this time. Altamora FC's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Sporting Clube Patrício had won, even though Altamora FC had held more of the ball.
