The supporters of Rapid Punta Cana booed when Las Terrenas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ahmet Emir Demirci didn't get a good kick on the ball. Patricio Veguri sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 11thth minute of the game Patricio Veguri who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Las Terrenas's Isidoro Balboa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Patricio Veguri might have been able to make a better finish in the 13th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Isidoro Balboa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Patricio Veguri ran back to his position shaking his head. Isidoro Balboa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Patricio Veguri in the 17th minute. 22 minutes into the game, Patricio Veguri lined in a short shot 1-0 behind a frustrated Isidoro Balboa. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Patricio Veguri in the 25th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Isidoro Balboa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A very nice done corner allowed Paul Westerberg to score against Isidoro Balboa in Las Terrenas's goal. 2-0 after 27 minutes. Patricio Veguri might have been able to make a better finish in the 31st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Isidoro Balboa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Patricio Veguri ran back to his position shaking his head. After 33 minutes of play, Rapid Punta Cana's Patricio Veguri made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Isidoro Balboa was left in no man's land by his defense there! 47 minutes into the game, Patricio Veguri recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Isidoro Balboa. Patricio Veguri showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 5-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 5-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Patricio Veguri to strike the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Patricio Veguri's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Isidoro Balboa was relentless in the 52nd minute of the game. In the 66th minute, Domingo Lozano made a precise shot to the right of Isidoro Balboa. Las Terrenas's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-0. Patricio Veguri received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Isidoro Balboa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Las Terrenas's Isidoro Balboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Patricio Veguri in the 74th minute of play. Isidoro Balboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Patricio Veguri in the 78th minute of play. In the 78th minute, Patricio Veguri left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Rapid Punta Cana fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 7-0. Domingo Lozano kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. After having played for 83 minutes, Patricio Veguri managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rapid Punta Cana's supporters crossed their fingers, but Patricio Veguri was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 86thth minute of the game Patricio Veguri who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Las Terrenas's Isidoro Balboa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Adrián Ponce made in the 88th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Mario Friedman immediately put the ball in play. Balduino Madrid charged in rather forcefully in the 90th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Balduino Madrid the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 90 played minutes Las Terrenas got a freekick which was hit by Balduino Madrid. Isidoro Balboa came out of the goal in the 92nd minute to try and stop a shot by Rapid Punta Cana's Nwakamma Anthony. But to his dismay, Nwakamma Anthony quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 8-0. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Rapid Punta Cana fully deserved thier win.
