Rogerio Godoy recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Yánez Aldaeta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Porfirio Aristizábal in the 18th minute of play. Yánez Aldaeta showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Damaso Aranda, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. In the 23rd minute, Wilfredo Pennigan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 24th minute, Club Atlético Univ. UASD's Hanley Morrison dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. In the 27th minute, Rogerio Godoy hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Yánez Aldaeta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rogerio Godoy in the 29th minute of the match. Yánez Aldaeta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rogerio Godoy in the 31st minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Omar Palma managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club Atlético Univ. UASD's supporters rose to their feet, but Omar Palma was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Paco Puente breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Omar Palma took the ball and in the 41 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Paco Puente. Paco Puente dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. 4 de Julio's Paco Puente proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 46th minute of the match, managed to save 4 de Julio from getting a goal against them.

Hanley Morrison's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Paco Puente read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 51st minute of play. A collision led to 4 de Julio getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Salvador Ramos hit a great ball. After 57 minutes of play, Club Atlético Univ. UASD's Casimiro Villanueva made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Paco Puente was left in no man's land by his defense there! Gonzalo Archibeque fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paco Puente having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Club Atlético Univ. UASD's Bartolomé Matheus got a free kick in the 67th minute. 72 minutes into the game, Club Atlético Univ. UASD's Omar Palma nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Paco Puente made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. 4 de Julio made a substitution.
