Cornelius Ramkisson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 14th match minute, Defence Force was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Darren Abdul-Hamid to maneuver through the defense. Cornelius Ramkisson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sundar Beckles, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cornelius Ramkisson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Delon Assoon's shot from short distance in the 18th minute. After 20 played minutes Carapichaima got a freekick which was hit by Edward Webber. A collision led to Defence Force getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Arthur Napoleon Layne hit a great ball. 26 minutes into the match, Defence Force's goal looked a bit too open when Delon Assoon came free, but Cornelius Ramkisson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Edward Webber might have been able to make a better finish in the 36th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cornelius Ramkisson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cornelius Ramkisson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Carapichaima. One of Defence Force:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Carapichaima:s goal. The referee gave Carapichaima a penalty, 86 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Nyron Stalin, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Defence Force's Cornelius Ramkisson. 0-4. Delon Assoon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 91 minutes into the match, Defence Force's goalkeeper Cornelius Ramkisson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Delon Assoon. Carapichaima's Delon Assoon got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The Defence Force fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Carapichaima were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
