Apolo Chica stood somewhat misplaced when Gabriel Olaverrieta came free in front of goal and shot 1-0 to the left of him in the 10 minute. If Matxin Maliaño had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 18 minutes, Oto Iturbide mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Leeds United FC and the La Vieja Guardia Jrs players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 18 played minutes Leeds United FC got a freekick which was hit by Oto Iturbide. After 19 played minutes, La Vieja Guardia Jrs's Curcio Caldevila shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Akakios Kakavitsas came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in La Vieja Guardia Jrs reached it. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Matxin Maliaño in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Akakios Kakavitsas saved Leeds United FC from getting behind. Aurelijus Rimeika fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Akakios Kakavitsas having to interfere. In the 29th minute Matxin Maliaño shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Akakios Kakavitsas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 30thth minute of the game Aurelijus Rimeika who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Leeds United FC's Akakios Kakavitsas was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Akakios Kakavitsas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Matxin Maliaño, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Matxin Maliaño fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Akakios Kakavitsas having to interfere. Aurelijus Rimeika sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 40 minutes into the match, Matxin Maliaño notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Leeds United FC's Akakios Kakavitsas. Akakios Kakavitsas was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Akakios Kakavitsas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aurelijus Rimeika, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. Nisio Arancibia charged in rather forcefully in the 45th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nisio Arancibia the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Matxin Maliaño sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Leeds United FC's Akakios Kakavitsas proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 51st minute of the match, managed to save Leeds United FC from getting a goal against them. In the 53rd minute La Vieja Guardia Jrs were awarded a corner. Curcio Caldevila went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 57th minute, La Vieja Guardia Jrs's Matxin Maliaño dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-2. Matxin Maliaño fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Akakios Kakavitsas having to interfere. La Vieja Guardia Jrs's Calisto Requena was substituted for Froilan Romillo. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Aurelijus Rimeika during the 67th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Aurelijus Rimeika kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Matxin Maliaño in the 72nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Akakios Kakavitsas saved Leeds United FC from getting behind. La Vieja Guardia Jrs made a substitution. Chorche Viya replaced Isias Cembrana. After 79 minutes Leeds United FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Curcio Caldevila who took care of the corner kick. La Vieja Guardia Jrs's Aurelijus Rimeika was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Akakios Kakavitsas in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. When the match clock showed 79 minutes, the score became 1-3 when Aurelijus Rimeika sped through Leeds United FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Akakios Kakavitsas. Matxin Maliaño fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Akakios Kakavitsas having to interfere. Akakios Kakavitsas came out of the goal in the 96th minute to try and stop a shot by La Vieja Guardia Jrs's Aurelijus Rimeika. But to his dismay, Aurelijus Rimeika quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-5.
