Orlando Machado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wilmer Dubon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Puerto San José defense, Cesar Cruz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mariano Umaña. The Puerto San José fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mariano Umaña should have stopped the shot. The supporters of FIFI CLUB ™ booed when Puerto San José was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alejandro Rivas didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 37th match minute, Puerto San José was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Andrés Peredes to maneuver through the defense. In the 41st minute, FIFI CLUB ™'s Cesar Cruz dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jonathan Ocampo got free with Mariano Umaña in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jonathan Ocampo's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Mariano Umaña firmly grabbed it by the left post. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

In the 52nd minute, Edgar Chavez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cesar Cruz in the 56th managed to get into a good position. With a little luck, FIFI CLUB ™'s Orlando Machado got control of the ball when William Posadas tried to sneak it across the goal line. 65 minutes into the match, Puerto San José's Wilmer Dubon sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Orlando Machado narrowly saved just below the crossbar. William Posadas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Orlando Machado read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 66th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cesar Cruz in the 78th minute of play forced Puerto San José's goalkeeper Mariano Umaña to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 82nd minute, Cesar Cruz made a precise shot to the right of Mariano Umaña. Puerto San José's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. In the 85th match minute, Puerto San José was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alejandro Erazo to maneuver through the defense.
