Spectators: 8478 (Terracing: 6360, Seating: 1949, VIP seats: 169) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Bernie Butterfield took the kick off in the first half of the match. Bernie Butterfield recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 4th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 10th minute the ball was on its way in behind Burrowye's goalkeeper Albert Simpson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 11 minutes into the game, Don Osvaldo FC's Matt Boyd nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Albert Simpson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Don Osvaldo FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Art Obree in the 16th minute. The corner ended in Art Obree almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Burrowye's Albert Simpson did a great save. 18 minutes into the match, Clark Yard notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Don Osvaldo FC's Bodo Rudwaleit. Bodo Rudwaleit was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 22nd minute, Bernie Butterfield hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 23 minutes into the match, Don Osvaldo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Grant Bundy came free, but Bodo Rudwaleit reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 24 minutes into the match, Clark Yard had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bodo Rudwaleit. Don Osvaldo FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Clark Yard was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. After a rather tough play, Burrowye's Bryanne Hopkins got a free kick in the 27th minute. Matt Boyd fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Albert Simpson having to interfere. 36 minutes into the match, Burrowye's goal looked a bit too open when Matt Boyd came free, but Albert Simpson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Matt Boyd received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Albert Simpson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 47th match minute, Burrowye was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marshal Isaac to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Don Osvaldo FC's Laurence Grieve got a free kick in the 48th minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Matt Boyd to strike the kick off in the second half. Don Osvaldo FC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Bernie Butterfield 54 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-4. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bernie Butterfield in the 57th minute of play forced Don Osvaldo FC's goalkeeper Bodo Rudwaleit to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Grant Bundy could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 58th minute of the match, but Bodo Rudwaleit made a huge save. After 59 played minutes Don Osvaldo FC got a freekick which was hit by Buchanan Gannan. Bodo Rudwaleit made a fantastic save in the 61st minute, when Marshal Isaac sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Burrowye booed when Don Osvaldo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Buchanan Gannan didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Clark Yard got free with Bodo Rudwaleit in the 72nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 74 minutes into the match, Don Osvaldo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Bernie Butterfield came free, but Bodo Rudwaleit reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bodo Rudwaleit made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Clark Yard in the 75th minute of play. With an all-out effort, Burrowye's Bodo Rudwaleit threw himself towards the right post 77 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Bernie Butterfield, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. With a little luck, Don Osvaldo FC's Bodo Rudwaleit got control of the ball when Grant Bundy tried to sneak it across the goal line. Matt Boyd fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Albert Simpson having to interfere. 86 minutes into the game, Bernie Butterfield cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-5. Bodo Rudwaleit was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Bodo Rudwaleit made a fantastic save in the 88th minute, when Bernie Butterfield sent off a good shot on target. The crowd rose to their feet as Marshal Isaac kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Bodo Rudwaleit. That made the score 1-6 in the 92 minute of play. Clark Yard's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Bodo Rudwaleit firmly grabbed it by the left post. Bodo Rudwaleit took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bernie Butterfield, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
