In the 3rd minute, Adrian Duldurescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Victor Schleck was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Miguel Sanches showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 6 minute of play. Victor Schleck took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dalibor Stefanovski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Miguel Sanches scored 2-0 in the 15th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Victor Schleck, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Van Der Ley FC's zone, Camillo Moriggi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Victor Schleck came out of the goal and Camillo Moriggi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, FC Lëtzebuerg's Miguel Sanches got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Adrian Duldurescu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Van Der Ley FC's Victor Schleck proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 38th minute of the match, managed to save Van Der Ley FC from getting a goal against them. 39 minutes into the match, FC Lëtzebuerg's goal looked a bit too open when Peter Guillou came free, but Hong Cheng Cheng reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 41st minute Adrian Duldurescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Victor Schleck saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 41 minutes into the game, Simon Backer was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Van Der Ley FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Lëtzebuerg the free kick. Miguel Sanches might have been able to make a better finish in the 43rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Victor Schleck. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Miguel Sanches ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Miguel Sanches in the 43rd minute of play forced Van Der Ley FC's goalkeeper Victor Schleck to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Miguel Sanches had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Thanks to some nice moves Miguel Sanches could shoot a difficult shot in the 45th minute, which Victor Schleck however easily saved by the left post. When Luka Glück fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Van Der Ley FC's protests and gave Luka Glück a yellow card for diving instead. In the 46th match minute, Van Der Ley FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luka Glück to maneuver through the defense.
Victor Schleck made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pierre Malet in the 57th minute of play. 58 minutes into the match, Adrian Duldurescu notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Van Der Ley FC's Victor Schleck. Victor Schleck was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 63 minutes into the game, Miguel Sanches cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Victor Schleck was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 67th minute, Charles-Louis Van Castel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hong Cheng Cheng showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Siegfried Brötzmann in the 71st minute of the match. Miguel Sanches sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Peter Guillou's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hong Cheng Cheng read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 76th minute of play. 79 minutes into the match, Van Der Ley FC's goal looked a bit too open when Adrian Duldurescu came free, but Victor Schleck reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 81 minutes into the match, Miguel Sanches had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Victor Schleck. Van Der Ley FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Miguel Sanches was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. 87 minutes into the match, Miguel Sanches notched a goal, 6-0, to the right of Van Der Ley FC's Victor Schleck. Victor Schleck was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 92nd match minute, FC Lëtzebuerg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Miguel Sanches to maneuver through the defense. Victor Schleck showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Miguel Sanches in the 97th minute of the match. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The FC Lëtzebuerg fans cheered their team off the field, for while Van Der Ley FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
