Seating: 2503, VIP seats: 217) Akranes's Gong Yuan Zheng started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Vignir Sveinsson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gong Yuan Zheng's shot from short distance in the 7th minute. Vignir Sveinsson didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Hulki Okyanus went, in the 8th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. 14 minutes into the match, FC Barcelona's goal looked a bit too open when Mjölnir Vilmarsson came free, but Vignir Sveinsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With an all-out effort, FC Barcelona's Jean Viana threw himself towards the right post 15 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Kristvin Logason, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Vignir Sveinsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Glói Emilsson in the 21st minute of play. 22 minutes into the match, FC Barcelona's goal looked a bit too open when Gong Yuan Zheng came free, but Vignir Sveinsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. FC Barcelona's Vignir Sveinsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Glói Emilsson in the 26th minute of play. Vignir Sveinsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Glói Emilsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 31 minutes, Mjölnir Vilmarsson made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. FC Barcelona's Vignir Sveinsson tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Jean Viana showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marijón Úlfarsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kristvin Logason in the 38th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jean Viana prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 41st minute, Gong Yuan Zheng got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 45 played minutes Akranes got a freekick which was hit by Bolli Kjaransson. Akranes's defense didn't have a chance, in the 46th minute, when Kristvin Logason scored to the left of an out of position Jean Viana, making the score, 1-2.
The wind increased when Vigur Arnleifsson made the kick off in the second half. Glói Emilsson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Vignir Sveinsson made a huge save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kristvin Logason in the 57th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jean Viana prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 58 played minutes FC Barcelona got a freekick which was hit by Brandur Sighvatsson. In the 61st minute Hjálmtýr Bergsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jean Viana saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 63 minutes into the match, FC Barcelona's goal looked a bit too open when Mjölnir Vilmarsson came free, but Vignir Sveinsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. FC Barcelona's Vignir Sveinsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mjölnir Vilmarsson in the 64th minute of play. 71 minutes into the match, FC Barcelona's goal looked a bit too open when Hulki Okyanus came free, but Vignir Sveinsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Akranes defense, Kristvin Logason kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jean Viana. The Akranes fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jean Viana should have stopped the shot. Hulki Okyanus could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Vignir Sveinsson made a huge save. Vignir Sveinsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gong Yuan Zheng in the 81st minute of the match. When Gong Yuan Zheng came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Akranes fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gong Yuan Zheng couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, FC Barcelona's Marijón Úlfarsson got a free kick in the 87th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Glói Emilsson kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Vignir Sveinsson. That made the score 2-3 in the 91 minute of play. Akranes's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
