In the 15th match minute, V.V.V - Venlo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Engiljón Eilífsson to maneuver through the defense. Vignir Sveinsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Garibaldi Dónaldsson in the 20th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, V.V.V - Venlo's Friðþór Bjarmason got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Vigur Arnleifsson kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. With a little luck, FC Barcelona's Vignir Sveinsson got control of the ball when Húmi Nikulásson tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Vigur Arnleifsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. V.V.V - Venlo's Austmar Janusson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kristvin Logason in the 33rd minute of play. Austmar Janusson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vigur Arnleifsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. After 52 minutes FC Barcelona's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Rafnar Sveinsson who took care of the corner kick. Rafnar Sveinsson made a great header on V.V.V - Venlo's corner, it was just that FC Barcelona's Vignir Sveinsson managed to reach the ball for a save. V.V.V - Venlo's defense didn't have a chance, in the 58th minute, when Vigur Arnleifsson scored to the left of an out of position Austmar Janusson, making the score, 0-1. After a defensive mix-up in V.V.V - Venlo's zone, Vigur Arnleifsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Austmar Janusson came out of the goal and Vigur Arnleifsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Austmar Janusson came out of the goal in the 72nd minute to try and stop a shot by FC Barcelona's Vigur Arnleifsson. But to his dismay, Vigur Arnleifsson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. The crowd rose to their feet as FC Barcelona's Vigur Arnleifsson slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Austmar Janusson. That made the score 0-4 after 76 minutes of play. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched FC Barcelona eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
