After 17 played minutes Crucero del Sur got a freekick which was hit by Ernesto Leguizamón. Tales Neiva took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Orlando Byers, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Crucero del Sur's Tom Howard played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Timoteo Gartxot in the 23rd minute of play. After 24 minutes of play, Atlanticalvos FC's Czeslaw Gurgul made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tom Howard was left in no man's land by his defense there! Czeslaw Gurgul took the ball and in the 30 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tom Howard. Tom Howard dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Tom Howard showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Johnny Van Havent, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Tom Howard took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Czeslaw Gurgul, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 35 minutes into the game, Crucero del Sur's Pedro José Gamboa nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tales Neiva made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. In the 39th minute, Ernesto Leguizamón hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Guillermo Schaub in the 40th minute of play forced Crucero del Sur's goalkeeper Tom Howard to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Crucero del Sur booed when Atlanticalvos FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Johnny Van Havent didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 43rd minute, Pedro José Gamboa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tales Neiva made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Orlando Byers in the 44th minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when José Marcelo Vildosola stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 52 played minutes Atlanticalvos FC got a freekick which was hit by Czeslaw Gurgul. Pedro José Gamboa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Tales Neiva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 57 minutes into the game, Atlanticalvos FC's Timoteo Gartxot nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tom Howard made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. 63 minutes into the match, Atlanticalvos FC's goalkeeper Tales Neiva had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Orlando Byers. After 64 minutes, Czeslaw Gurgul made it 4-1 with a short kick to the right side. Crucero del Sur's Tom Howard tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 71 minutes into the game, Atlanticalvos FC's Timoteo Gartxot nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tom Howard made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-1. Tales Neiva was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Pedro José Gamboa showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 5-2 in the 74 minute of play. Ernesto Leguizamón hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Crucero del Sur's zone, Czeslaw Gurgul stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tom Howard came out of the goal and Czeslaw Gurgul tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Orlando Byers could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 83rd minute of the match, but Tales Neiva made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Czeslaw Gurgul in the 84th minute of play forced Crucero del Sur's goalkeeper Tom Howard to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Crucero del Sur's Pedro José Gamboa got a free kick in the 85th minute. Tom Howard took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Johnny Van Havent, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 90th play minutes Czeslaw Gurgul shot 6-2, a short shot which went by Tom Howard and just under the crossbar into goal. Crucero del Sur's Tom Howard played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Timoteo Gartxot in the 94th minute of play. In the 96th minute Timoteo Gartxot shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tom Howard saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Atlanticalvos FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
