Tom Howard showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leandro Pfingsthorn in the 15th minute of the match. Henry Tucknott made an important save on a dangerous shot by Orlando Byers in the 19th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Leandro Pfingsthorn in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tom Howard saved Crucero del Sur from getting behind. Tom Howard came out of the goal in the 21st minute to try and stop a shot by General Velásquez's Luciano Duguid. But to his dismay, Luciano Duguid quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. General Velásquez's Henry Tucknott played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Orlando Byers in the 27th minute of play. After taking down the ball on General Velásquez's corner Heliodoro Wiltich fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Tom Howard quite easily take care of the ball. Tom Howard showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Renato Goycolea in the 33rd minute of the match. In the 45th match minute, General Velásquez was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Renato Goycolea to maneuver through the defense. 47 minutes into the match, Crucero del Sur's goal looked a bit too open when Leandro Pfingsthorn came free, but Tom Howard reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell José Marcelo Vildosola to make the kick off. 51 minutes into the game, Leandro Pfingsthorn cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Tom Howard was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 56th minute, Leandro Pfingsthorn ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tom Howard was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Tom Howard came out of the goal in the 63rd minute to try and stop a shot by General Velásquez's Leandro Pfingsthorn. But to his dismay, Leandro Pfingsthorn quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. 67 minutes into the match, Crucero del Sur's goalkeeper Tom Howard had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Leandro Pfingsthorn. Tom Howard was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Leandro Pfingsthorn showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-6 in the 73 minute of play. Leandro Pfingsthorn in the 76thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Tom Howard, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Leandro Pfingsthorn's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Tom Howard firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 77th match minute, General Velásquez was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marciano Gibson to maneuver through the defense. Henry Tucknott showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Orlando Byers, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. After 82 minutes of play, Crucero del Sur's Orlando Byers made it 1-6 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Henry Tucknott was left in no man's land by his defense there! With his leg Tom Howard managed to avoid a goal in the 85thth minute, when General Velásquez's Leandro Pfingsthorn fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 86th minute, Orlando Byers left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Crucero del Sur fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-6. 89 minutes into the game, Luciano Duguid recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Tom Howard. Luciano Duguid showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-7. Tom Howard took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leandro Pfingsthorn, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 96th minute, Crucero del Sur's Ernesto Leguizamón seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Ernesto Leguizamón the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Crucero del Sur protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Ernesto Leguizamón had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 96th minute of the game. One of Crucero del Sur:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of General Velásquez:s goal. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. General Velásquez walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
