After a rather tough play, Rapid Punta Cana's Humberto Rendón got a free kick in the 19th minute. In the 22ndth minute of the game Patricio Veguri who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but 4 de Julio's Paco Puente was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Rapid Punta Cana were awarded a corner in the 27th minute after 4 de Julio's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Domingo Lozano took the corner. If Patricio Veguri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Porfirio Aristizábal made in the 31st minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Damaso Aranda. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Patricio Veguri stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Domingo Lozano who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 52ndth minute tested the skills of Paco Puente when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Paco Puente made a fantastic save in the 53rd minute, when Patricio Veguri sent off a good shot on target. With a little luck, 4 de Julio's Paco Puente got control of the ball when Domingo Lozano tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to 4 de Julio getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Bartolomé Berrios hit a great ball. In the 58th minute, Domingo Lozano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kurt Rosen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Diego Parra in the 59th minute of play. Porfirio Aristizábal got a throw-in 63 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Damaso Aranda. Paco Puente made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Patricio Veguri in the 65th minute of play. Salvador Ramos's late challenge caught a Rapid Punta Cana's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Salvador Ramos helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, 4 de Julio's Salvador Ramos got a free kick in the 70th minute. 4 de Julio's Teddy Garde was substituted for Damaso Aranda. The supporters of Rapid Punta Cana booed when 4 de Julio was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Salvador Ramos didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Patricio Veguri got free with Paco Puente in the 73rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raphael Steuble in the 74th minute of play forced Rapid Punta Cana's goalkeeper Kurt Rosen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 78 minutes into the match, 4 de Julio's goalkeeper Paco Puente had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Patricio Veguri. After a rather tough play, Rapid Punta Cana's Nwakamma Anthony got a free kick in the 79th minute. After 81 minutes of play, Rapid Punta Cana's Patricio Veguri made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Paco Puente was left in no man's land by his defense there! 83 minutes into the match, 4 de Julio's goal looked a bit too open when Patricio Veguri came free, but Paco Puente reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Patricio Veguri recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Salvador Ramos made in the 88th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Porfirio Aristizábal immediately put the ball in play. When Rogerio Godoy fell near the penalty area in the 93rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored 4 de Julio's protests and gave Rogerio Godoy a yellow card for diving instead. Rogerio Godoy hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. After having played for 94 minutes, Patricio Veguri managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rapid Punta Cana's supporters crossed their fingers, but Patricio Veguri was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Paco Puente took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Patricio Veguri, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the final whistle sounded Rapid Punta Cana left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than 4 de Julio.
