Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Bernie Butterfield kicked off to start the match. In the 8th minute Grant Bundy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Randall Ziliotto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 13th minute, Nichol Kreck left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Farley fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. If Ray Maciver had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 21st minute, Bryanne Hopkins hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bulahdelah FC's Albert Simpson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nichol Kreck in the 23rd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Farley's zone, Grant Bundy stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Randall Ziliotto came out of the goal and Grant Bundy tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 33 minutes into the match, Bernie Butterfield notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Farley's Randall Ziliotto. Randall Ziliotto was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 42 minutes of play, Bulahdelah FC's Grant Bundy made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Randall Ziliotto was left in no man's land by his defense there! The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.
Farley's Randall Ziliotto proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 51st minute of the match, managed to save Farley from getting a goal against them. Bulahdelah FC were awarded a corner in the 52th minute after Farley's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Grant Bundy took the corner. A well done corner resulted in Marshal Isaac drilling the ball in to score 1-4 behind Farley's goalkeeper. In the 56th minute Bernie Butterfield shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Randall Ziliotto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 62 played minutes Farley got a freekick which was hit by Nichol Kreck. Farley's Randall Ziliotto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bernie Butterfield in the 63rd minute of play. After some careless play in the Farley defense, Grant Bundy kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Randall Ziliotto. The Farley fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Randall Ziliotto should have stopped the shot. Nichol Kreck hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. After 72 played minutes Farley got a freekick which was hit by Ray Maciver. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bernie Butterfield in the 75th minute of play forced Farley's goalkeeper Randall Ziliotto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Grant Bundy in the 81stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Randall Ziliotto, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After having played for 82 minutes, Bernie Butterfield managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bulahdelah FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bernie Butterfield was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Randall Ziliotto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bernie Butterfield in the 86th minute of the match. Bulahdelah FC were furious when Herbert Mclatchey was red carded, 95 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Herbert Mclatchey hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. Bevis Kesi took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 97th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Albert Simpson. Bulahdelah FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. When the match was over Bulahdelah FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Farley throughout the match.
