With a little luck, Pogoń Siedlce's Jan Bjarkason got control of the ball when Walter Snæbjörnsson tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jan Bjarkason was a little too slow when Walter Snæbjörnsson got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 7th minute. The score was now 1-0. 11 minutes into the match, Walter Snæbjörnsson notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Pogoń Siedlce's Jan Bjarkason. Jan Bjarkason was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After having played for 15 minutes, Walter Snæbjörnsson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Task Mývatni's supporters crossed their fingers, but Walter Snæbjörnsson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Walter Snæbjörnsson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Jan Bjarkason made a huge save. Kolbeinn Björnsson kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Jan Bjarkason showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hildibrandur Hallbjörnsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. 23 minutes into the match, Pogoń Siedlce's goal looked a bit too open when Auðbergur Gretarsson came free, but Jan Bjarkason reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 28 minutes into the match, Task Mývatni's goal looked a bit too open when Hringur Hallbjörnsson came free, but Arnúlfur Níelsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Auðbergur Gretarsson scored 5-0 in the 72nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jan Bjarkason, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Task Mývatni's Walter Snæbjörnsson got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 81st minute of the match Pogoń Siedlce got a corner. Task Mývatni's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Svali Kjaransson ran over to the corner to take the kick. Walter Snæbjörnsson's late challenge caught a Pogoń Siedlce's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Walter Snæbjörnsson helped the player get up and apologised. In the 81st minute, Walter Snæbjörnsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Arnúlfur Níelsson acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 82nd minute, took the ball on the long shot from Svali Kjaransson. Jan Bjarkason took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Auðbergur Gretarsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Task Mývatni's Auðbergur Gretarsson got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With his leg Arnúlfur Níelsson managed to avoid a goal in the 90thth minute, when Pogoń Siedlce's Rúben Baugsson fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The supporters of Pogoń Siedlce booed when Task Mývatni was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Geirtryggur Guðleifsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pogoń Siedlce's Svali Kjaransson couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Task Mývatni. If Hildibrandur Hallbjörnsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. For all the effort they put into the match, the Pogoń Siedlce players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Task Mývatni.
