The El Peñón FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Adolfo Zambrano should have stopped the shot. Adolfo Zambrano came out of the goal in the 16th minute to try and stop a shot by Club Atlético Lea Papá's Alvar Ponce. But to his dismay, Alvar Ponce quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. Alvar Ponce might have been able to make a better finish in the 24th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Adolfo Zambrano. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alvar Ponce ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alvar Ponce in the 24th minute of play forced El Peñón FC's goalkeeper Adolfo Zambrano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. El Peñón FC's Adolfo Zambrano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Raúl Gordillo in the 28th minute of play. In the 29th minute, Alvar Ponce made a precise shot to the right of Adolfo Zambrano. El Peñón FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-7. 32 minutes into the game, Anton Donose cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-8. Adolfo Zambrano was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The audience was convinced that Anton Donose's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Adolfo Zambrano was relentless in the 44th minute of the game. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-10.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jesús Boyd to strike the kick off in the second half. Anton Donose had several of the El Peñón FC's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 58 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-12 score and a disappointed Adolfo Zambrano as he didn't even see the shot coming. Adolfo Zambrano stood somewhat misplaced when Anton Donose came free in front of goal and shot 0-14 to the left of him in the 65 minute. The audience was convinced that Anton Donose's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Adolfo Zambrano was relentless in the 69th minute of the game. A collision led to El Peñón FC getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Paco Montañas hit a great ball. Michal Jehlička sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Marcelo Carracedo came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Club Atlético Lea Papá fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marcelo Carracedo couldn't finish the play. Michal Jehlička showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-16. After 93 minutes of play, Club Atlético Lea Papá's Aldo-Pedro Poy made it 0-17 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Adolfo Zambrano was left in no man's land by his defense there! The El Peñón FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Club Atlético Lea Papá were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
