Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) El Peñón FC's Jesús Boyd started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 12 played minutes Mao CP got a freekick which was hit by Germán Lemos. Celestino Carreón sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Anastas Tejada made in the 17th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Fausto Rendón. The audience thought a goal was coming when Anthony Canal got free with Eladio Vinicio in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of El Peñón FC booed when Mao CP was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Esteban Ureña didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Anthony Canal got free with Eladio Vinicio in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 30 minutes of play, Mao CP's Anthony Matheus made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Adolfo Zambrano was left in no man's land by his defense there! 34 minutes into the match, Anthony Canal had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Eladio Vinicio. Mao CP's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Anthony Canal was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. In the 41st minute, Fausto Rendón hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Mao CP's Germán Lemos got a free kick in the 44th minute. Mao CP were furious when Benjamín Balboa was red carded, 48 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. 47 minutes into the game, one of Mao CP:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 50th minute there was a penalty for El Peñón FC. Anastas Tejada stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Eladio Vinicio. 2-1. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Lucio Armas was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of Mao CP booed when El Peñón FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Celestino Carreón didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eladio Vinicio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anthony Canal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anthony Canal in the 65th minute of play forced Mao CP's goalkeeper Eladio Vinicio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eladio Vinicio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anastas Tejada, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. Anastas Tejada made in the 72nd minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Jesús Boyd. 74 minutes into the match, Jesús Boyd had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Eladio Vinicio. Mao CP's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jesús Boyd was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. After a rather tough play, El Peñón FC's Paco Montañas got a free kick in the 79th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Anthony Canal in the 89th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eladio Vinicio saved Mao CP from getting behind. In the 92nd minute, Germán Lemos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jesús Boyd scored 4-1 in the 94th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Eladio Vinicio, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When the referee ended the match the El Peñón FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
