The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Adolfo Zambrano made an important save on a dangerous shot by Casimiro Villanueva in the 3rd minute. Bartolomé Matheus might have been able to make a better finish in the 8th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Adolfo Zambrano. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bartolomé Matheus ran back to his position shaking his head. 10 minutes into the match, Casimiro Villanueva had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Adolfo Zambrano. El Peñón FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Casimiro Villanueva was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. In the 13th minute, Casimiro Villanueva made a precise shot to the right of Adolfo Zambrano. El Peñón FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. Adolfo Zambrano made a fantastic save in the 15th minute, when Casimiro Villanueva sent off a good shot on target. In the 18th minute, Casimiro Villanueva got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Omar Palma received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Adolfo Zambrano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 4-0 became the score in the 31st minute when Hanley Morrison elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. After some careless play in the El Peñón FC defense, Casimiro Villanueva kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Adolfo Zambrano. The El Peñón FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Adolfo Zambrano should have stopped the shot. Club Atlético Univ. UASD's Yánez Aldaeta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mauro Canal in the 42nd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Casimiro Villanueva managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club Atlético Univ. UASD's supporters rose to their feet, but Casimiro Villanueva was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Adolfo Zambrano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Adolfo Zambrano was a little too slow when Hanley Morrison got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 46th minute. The score was now 6-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 6-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Casimiro Villanueva to make the kick off. In the 51st minute, Hanley Morrison left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Club Atlético Univ. UASD fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 7-0. Casimiro Villanueva struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Adolfo Zambrano didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Club Atlético Univ. UASD. Casimiro Villanueva scored 9-0 in the 64th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Adolfo Zambrano, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Casimiro Villanueva in the 66th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Adolfo Zambrano saved El Peñón FC from getting behind. Adolfo Zambrano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Casimiro Villanueva in the 68th minute of play. Adolfo Zambrano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Casimiro Villanueva, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. Casimiro Villanueva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adolfo Zambrano having to interfere. 80 minutes into the match, El Peñón FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gonzalo Archibeque came free, but Adolfo Zambrano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 81 minutes into the match, Casimiro Villanueva notched a goal, 11-0, to the right of El Peñón FC's Adolfo Zambrano. Adolfo Zambrano was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 86th minute Casimiro Villanueva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adolfo Zambrano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 87 minutes had been played when some careless play by El Peñón FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Casimiro Villanueva was slow to take the kick. During this time Club Atlético Univ. UASD's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Club Atlético Univ. UASD's Gonzalo Archibeque to fire away a dangerous shot which Adolfo Zambrano despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Norbert Gutiev recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Casimiro Villanueva in the 90th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Adolfo Zambrano prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match clock showed 94 minutes, the score became 12-0 when Casimiro Villanueva sped through El Peñón FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Adolfo Zambrano. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Club Atlético Univ. UASD had played much better football throughout.
