Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Jesús Boyd got the match started through his kick off. El Peñón FC's Adolfo Zambrano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emiliano Valdez in the 5th minute of play. In the 8th match minute, Guayaubín was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alejandro Torrealba to maneuver through the defense. Anthony Canal had several of the Guayaubín's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 18 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Clemente Clayton as he didn't even see the shot coming. Anthony Canal recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fabricio Alcott in the 25th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Adolfo Zambrano prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Celestino Carreón's late challenge caught a Guayaubín's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Celestino Carreón helped the player get up and apologised. After 26 played minutes El Peñón FC got a freekick which was hit by Celestino Carreón. The audience was convinced that Fabricio Alcott's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Adolfo Zambrano was relentless in the 29th minute of the game. Clemente Clayton was out of position in the 32 minute of play, and Jesús Boyd capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Jesús Boyd really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. The audience was convinced that Fabricio Alcott's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Adolfo Zambrano was relentless in the 35th minute of the game. In the 38th minute Jesús Boyd shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Clemente Clayton saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

Adolfo Zambrano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sil Alarcón, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. If Sil Alarcón had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fabricio Alcott blasted a shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Adolfo Zambrano having to make a save. Conrado Bosch recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mauro Canal kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Clemente Clayton showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anthony Canal, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. 63 minutes into the match, Guayaubín's goal looked a bit too open when Mauro Canal came free, but Clemente Clayton reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 67th minute, Anthony Canal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Guayaubín's Emiliano Valdez shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 68th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Adolfo Zambrano but with some difficulty. Mauro Canal hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. If Fabricio Alcott had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Fabricio Alcott fell near the penalty area in the 70th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Guayaubín's protests and gave Fabricio Alcott a yellow card for diving instead. With his leg Adolfo Zambrano managed to avoid a goal in the 74thth minute, when Guayaubín's Fabricio Alcott fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Conrado Bosch fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adolfo Zambrano having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in El Peñón FC's zone, Fabricio Alcott stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Adolfo Zambrano came out of the goal and Fabricio Alcott tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 84th minute, Anthony Canal got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 84 minutes, Emiliano Valdez mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Guayaubín and the El Peñón FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Clemente Clayton took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anthony Canal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Anthony Canal came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the El Peñón FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Anthony Canal couldn't finish the play. If Anthony Canal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
