Guayaubín's Clemente Clayton played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alan Marinelli in the 16th minute of play. Clemente Clayton took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alvar Ponce, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Anton Donose scored 1-2 in the 22nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Clemente Clayton, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alan Marinelli couldn't finish the play. Clemente Clayton dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-6. Clemente Clayton made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anton Donose in the 43rd minute of play. In the 44th minute, Michal Jehlička left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Club Atlético Lea Papá fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-7. In the 48th minute Alvar Ponce shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Clemente Clayton saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-7.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Fabricio Alcott to strike the kick off in the second half.
