With a couple of smart ball manuevers Patricio Veguri in the 42nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Clemente Clayton saved Guayaubín from getting behind. 47 minutes into the game, Alejandro Torrealba threw the ball into play from the sideline. Rapid Punta Cana's Ali Atıf Harmanda quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. The Guayaubín players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Rapid Punta Cana were winning 0-5.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Patricio Veguri made a kick off. Domingo Lozano came free with the goalkeeper in the 77th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Clemente Clayton could save by the left post. Patricio Veguri's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 79thth minute, Clemente Clayton skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Patricio Veguri recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Patricio Veguri's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Clemente Clayton read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 82nd minute of play.
