Basilio Monroy made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 14th minute Pablo Chapado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Basilio Monroy saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 15 played minutes Royal Caribbean got a freekick which was hit by Roman Baibakov. In the 15th minute, Manny Lugo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 19 minutes into the game, Royal Caribbean's Roman Baibakov nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Basilio Monroy made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. Basilio Monroy showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roman Baibakov, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. 23 minutes into the match, Los Rios AD's goal looked a bit too open when Roman Baibakov came free, but Basilio Monroy reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Royal Caribbean's zone, Manny Lugo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Chus Rodríguez came out of the goal and Manny Lugo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tobias Guzmán recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 30th minute Roman Baibakov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Basilio Monroy saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 33rd minute, Pablo Chapado made a precise shot to the right of Basilio Monroy. Los Rios AD's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. Basilio Monroy took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pascual Reynoso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Basilio Monroy didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Roman Baibakov went, in the 38th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-5 was the resulting score. Santino Coronel hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. The supporters of Los Rios AD booed when Royal Caribbean was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Buenaventura Zambrano didn't get a good kick on the ball.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Augusto Graham made a kick off. With a little luck, Los Rios AD's Basilio Monroy got control of the ball when Roman Baibakov tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 63rd minute Augusto Graham shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Chus Rodríguez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Roman Baibakov got free with Basilio Monroy in the 68th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 68 minutes, Augusto Graham mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Los Rios AD and the Royal Caribbean players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 68 played minutes Los Rios AD got a freekick which was hit by Augusto Graham. Augusto Graham fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Chus Rodríguez having to interfere. Basilio Monroy was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Roman Baibakov showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-6 in the 75 minute of play. When the match clock showed 78 minutes, the score became 0-7 when Roman Baibakov sped through Los Rios AD's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Basilio Monroy. In the 82nd match minute, Royal Caribbean was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pablo Chapado to maneuver through the defense. Augusto Graham got his second yellow card in the match during the 85th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 86th match minute, Los Rios AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Augusto Graham to maneuver through the defense. After 86 played minutes Royal Caribbean got a freekick which was hit by Tobias Guzmán. In the 89th play minute Roman Baibakov came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Basilio Monroy. 0-8. In the 92nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Los Rios AD's goalkeeper Basilio Monroy, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpected shot in the 94th minute by Roman Baibakov got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Pascual Reynoso's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Basilio Monroy read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 96th minute of play. The Los Rios AD fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Royal Caribbean were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
