After some careless play in the El Peñón FC defense, Rogerio Godoy kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Adolfo Zambrano. The El Peñón FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Adolfo Zambrano should have stopped the shot. Diego Parra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Adolfo Zambrano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of El Peñón FC booed when 4 de Julio was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wilfredo Pennigan didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match clock showed 24 minutes, the score became 4-1 when Diego Parra sped through El Peñón FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Adolfo Zambrano. Adolfo Zambrano came out of the goal in the 29th minute to try and stop a shot by 4 de Julio's Diego Parra. But to his dismay, Diego Parra quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-1. A collision led to 4 de Julio getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Wilfredo Pennigan hit a great ball. After 37 played minutes 4 de Julio got a freekick which was hit by Ángel Ybarra. 39 minutes into the game, Diego Parra cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-1. Adolfo Zambrano was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The goalkeeper, Adolfo Zambrano, was totally fooled by 4 de Julio's Wilfredo Pennigan, who 45 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Diego Parra made a kick off. Rogerio Godoy scored 8-1 in the 51st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Adolfo Zambrano, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 56 minutes into the match, Diego Parra notched a goal, 9-1, to the right of El Peñón FC's Adolfo Zambrano. Adolfo Zambrano was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a defensive mix-up in El Peñón FC's zone, Diego Parra stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Adolfo Zambrano came out of the goal and Diego Parra tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Porfirio Aristizábal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Diego Parra in the 63rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Adolfo Zambrano saved El Peñón FC from getting behind. 64 minutes into the match, Diego Parra notched a goal, 10-1, to the right of El Peñón FC's Adolfo Zambrano. Adolfo Zambrano was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 4 de Julio's Teddy Garde was substituted for Damaso Aranda. If Raphael Steuble had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 74 minutes, Jesús Boyd managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. El Peñón FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jesús Boyd was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 77thth minute of the game Raphael Steuble who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but El Peñón FC's Adolfo Zambrano was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 80 minutes into the game, one of El Peñón FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Wilfredo Pennigan shot the penalty kick right outside the post. In the 83rd minute, Raphael Steuble ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Adolfo Zambrano was frozen by the shot and now it was 12-1. 4 de Julio's Teddy Garde got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the match clock showed 87 minutes, the score became 13-1 when Raphael Steuble sped through El Peñón FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Adolfo Zambrano. In the 94th match minute, 4 de Julio was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Salvador Ramos to maneuver through the defense. In the 96th match minute, 4 de Julio was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wilfredo Pennigan to maneuver through the defense. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. 4 de Julio had played much better football throughout.
