Los Rios AD's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Fabricio Alcott 46 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Fabricio Alcott stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the Los Rios AD defense, Fabricio Alcott kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Basilio Monroy. The Los Rios AD fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Basilio Monroy should have stopped the shot. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Roque Olegario during the 61st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 61 played minutes Guayaubín got a freekick which was hit by Roque Olegario. In the 63rd minute Fabricio Alcott shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Basilio Monroy saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Basilio Monroy showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fabricio Alcott, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. Los Rios AD's Augusto Graham got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 69th minute, Fabricio Alcott ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Basilio Monroy was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. In the 72nd match minute, Los Rios AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Augusto Graham to maneuver through the defense. 75 minutes into the game, Alejandro Torrealba was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Guayaubín's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Los Rios AD the free kick. Alejandro Torrealba kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. The supporters of Los Rios AD booed when Guayaubín was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Baltasar Mena didn't get a good kick on the ball. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Guayaubín fully deserved thier win.
